Greetings from Uganda. Thank you so much for the time, hospitality, professionalism and good friendship you exhibited during our visit to your County. I wish to say that from this exposure visit we had, we have added a very strong network and indeed a strong team of allies who shall forever be remembered in the Arena of LARR.I know for sure that together we can make a difference by deploying the new knowledge in our work. God bless you

I still relish the beautiful training programme organised by Dr. Nair. Our problem with Land Acquisition magnified with building National Highways becoming first priority of the new govt. But with people like Dr. Nair around, I think we can handle it with more confidence. Indeed the ASCI training was the best I have received during my career spanning more than a quarter century.

Worldbank

On behalf of the World Bank, I would like to thank you and your colleagues at the Administrative Staff College of India for hosting us and for your warm generosity. It was a herculean task to arrange a week-long international workshop including field trips for over 100 participants. You and your team did a superb job facilitating this event and creating an open environment for all of us to exchange valuable experiences and learn from each other. Thank you for hosting what I hope will be an evolving international network of professionals committed to sustainable social sustainability

The Course was really helpful. The Speakers and Courses were well chosen. The program gave new insights into how land can be acquired through consent and negotiations, the provisions of which are already there in the existing legislation. It also sensitized me about the gender issues involved. I consider myself better informed at the end of the day. Many many thanks to the Course Director”

On behalf of the team I would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the support you provided to ensure successful learning experience for the development of the National Resettlement Policy for Uganda. The energy you put in the organisation and implementation of the programme is incomparable. We know that the journey was not smooth and I apologize for the hitches that you met through the process. To pay off your efforts will be to see a Draft Resettlement and Rehabilitation Policy for Uganda. The team has committed itself to this and we shall keep you informed.

Greetings from the city of temples - Bhubaneswar! This experience is certainly for life. Good learning’s at good place with even better resource persons make one's experience worth it. Here the sole purpose of my e-mail to you all is to say 'Thanks'. Thanks to Dr. Nair for arranging such a wonderful training program on the latest act on the block - Act on Land Acquisition and R&R. I just want to highlight below my take-away(s) from this beautifully coordinated program in a nutshell. - Listen it all from the horse's mouth - The Policy Framers' talks make the workshop all the more interesting and pragmatic in its approach. - Activity based learning - I think it was never monotonous when it comes to lectures and talks as the whole program was so beautifully scripted with live examples. - The Interface between "Experts / Researchers / Policy Implementers" and "Participant Government officials / learners" - And what clicked the most is the entire program was in the similar lines of a modern B-School Management Development Program; far away from the stereotypes. - To keep my opinion straight - I'm sure the learnings will come in handy in a big way in all our respective professional spheres.

As I am now safely and comfortably back at my flat in Kathmandu I want to take this opportunity to thank ou and your institution for your invitation to the conference that you hosted at ASCI in Hyderabad on R and R and Benefit Sharing. I found your staff extremely helpful, the accommodation clean and commodious, the food delicious and the content of the conference extremely helpful. It was a perfect balance between theory and practise as well as between theoreticians and practitioners. Although as a young student of development anthropology (many years ago) I wanted to work in South Asia, somehow I ended up in Sub Saharan Africa for 17 years (without complaint). However, over the years I have followed Indian affairs, read the history and ethnography of your country and followed its rise as a world power during the last twenty years. I suspect that ASCI is part and parcel of that process and that you have managed it with success and creativity. This was my first visit to India and as I drove through Cyber City, I saw a new India in the making with sufficient managerial challenges to keep ASCI busy for many years to come. Once again, congratulations on a successful and most stimulating conference.

As many others have expressed, we are very grateful for all that ASCI did to open their doors and bring us all together. Reshmy, you and your team are fantastic and please know that you are welcome to our side of the ocean as well. I personally learned a tremendous amount from the experience and appreciate having met many new friends. Best wishes and with the hope that our paths will cross again,
